This is the Fortin EVO-START LTE smartphone controller, with built-in 4G/LTE cellular coverage across Canada.
Important: this is the Canadian version, and it works in Canada only.
Fortin sells separate Canadian and US versions of the EVO-START LTE, and each one is locked to the mobile network of the country it was bought in. A Canadian unit has no coverage in the United States. This is not a roaming charge, the app simply stops working once you cross the border and starts again when you return. If you regularly drive into the US, this is not the right controller for you and we would point you at one of the other smartphone controllers that covers all of North America.

The Canadian version ships with a 3 year service plan included in the purchase price. Fortin's US version only includes 1 year, so if you are comparing against American listings, this is the better deal.
Unlike most competing systems, GPS is not held back for a higher tier. Vehicle location, detailed trip tracking and 60-day trip history are part of the standard plan from the moment it is activated.

Which Fortin modules does it work with?
The EVO-START LTE adds telematics and GPS tracking to an existing Fortin platform. It is not a remote starter on its own. It works with:
Install the EVO-START LTE and control, secure, track and interact with your vehicle from your phone.
Connect the EVO-START LTE to a compatible Fortin system, install the app on your iOS or Android device, and you can remote start and stop the engine, control and track your vehicle, and receive push notifications about its status.
The EVO-START LTE operates via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or a wireless mobile network with coverage in Canada.
doesn't work as advertised. Been dealing with MYCAR2 technical since install and still not able to view my dash cam videos in the MYCAR2 app. Way over priced for what you get

Rapid delivery. The T-connector kit renderes it easy to install needing only one splice and a hood switch. Works great. Awesome that it's made in Canada.
