Two 1-way 4-button remotes, up to 2,800 ft, with lock, unlock, start and trunk on their own buttons. 1-way means you press and trust it: nothing comes back to the remote. For $60 more, the RFK442 adds 2-way confirmation, which is worth it if you start the car from inside. On an EVO-ALL it also needs the RFA2A adapter.

The details

Two 1-way 4-button remotes on 433MHz, rated to 2,800 feet. One-way means the remote sends your command but nothing comes back — the trade-off for a lower price than the 2-way RFK442.

Will it work with my system?

Works with the Fortin EVO-ONE, EVO-X-ONE and EVO-ALL. If you have an EVO-ALL, you also need the RFA2A adapter — it's a separate $14.99 part and the kit won't function without it.

Worth knowing

For $60 more the RFK442 gives you the same four buttons with 2-way confirmation. If you regularly start the car from indoors, that confirmation is the difference between knowing and guessing.

Will it work with my remote starter?

The table on this page shows which Fortin modules it works with: the EVO-ONE, EVO-X-ONE and EVO-ALL. Not sure which module you have? Text us a photo of its label.

Do I need the RFA2A adapter?

Only on an EVO-ALL. The EVO-ALL has no port for a Fortin antenna's plug, so a Fortin remote kit needs the RFA2A. The EVO-ONE and EVO-X-ONE take the antenna directly.

Will a replacement remote work with my antenna?

Fortin remotes pair only with the antenna they were made for. The RM411, RM441, RM442, FTX84 and FTX642W use the FMH antenna. The RM912 and RM942 use the ANT900. Check the part number on the back of your old remote.

My remote stopped working. Do I need a new one?

Try a fresh battery first: key fob batteries. If it still doesn't work, text us the part number on the remote.

Do you install it?

Yes, at our Markham shop or on-site in the GTA, with our lifetime installation warranty. Adding a remote kit or the EVO-START LTE during a remote starter install costs no extra labour. Book an install.

Do you ship across Canada?

Yes. Shipping is free on orders over $200, and $10 under that.
