Everything ships from our shop in Markham, Ontario. Here's what it costs, when it leaves, and what to expect at the border.

Shipping within Canada

Parcels leave our shop Monday to Friday. Carriers don't move parcels on weekends or statutory holidays.

Items that don't ship free

Some products are too bulky, or too heavily discounted, to include in our standard Canadian rates. They're charged a calculated rate at checkout whatever your order total, and each one says so on its product page.

  • Oversized items, such as vehicle-specific subwoofer boxes and bulk sound-deadening kits, ship within Canada only.
  • Clearance items ship to Canada and the United States only.

Shipping to the United States

Checkout shows live rates for DHL Express and UPS. US import duties and taxes are worked out at checkout and paid with your order, so there's nothing more to pay when the parcel arrives. You'll see the exact amount before you pay. *If no duties noted under the shipping service selected, our team will be in contact with you to verify extra applicable charges prior to shipping.

US tariffs right now

Updated September 28, 2026. US rules have changed several times this year and may change again. Checkout always uses the rates in force on the day you order.

  • Where a product was made decides the duty, not where it ships from.A dash cam made in Korea pays the US rate for Korean goods, even though it ships to you from Canada.
  • Many Canadian-made products carry an extra 50% US duty.Since August 22, 2026, the US has added 50% to a long list of Canadian-made goods, including electronic modules like remote start and bypass modules. It applies even when the product qualifies under CUSMA. In our range this mainly affects Fortin products.
  • Most other countries' goods carry an added 10% to 12.5%.That sits on top of the normal duty for the product. Some products, particularly those made in China, carry further duties.
  • There's no duty-free allowance for small orders.The US ended its $800 duty-free limit in August 2025, so every order is assessed, even a single small part.
  • We don't set these charges, and we don't keep them.They go to US Customs. If the duty makes an order hard to justify, call us before you buy and we'll tell you honestly whether buying the same product from a US dealer would work out cheaper.

Checkout shows live rates for DHL, FedEx and UPS. Import duties, taxes and any customs clearance fees aren't included in what you pay us. The carrier bills them when the parcel arrives, so check your country's import rules before you order.

Common questions

When will my order ship?

Parcels leave our Markham shop Monday to Friday. Remote starter kits are pre-programmed to your vehicle before they ship (most vehicles), so allow a little extra time for those. When your order ships, we email you the tracking number.

How much is shipping within Canada?

Orders under $200 ship for a flat $10, and orders of $200 or more ship free. Both are tracked ground delivery with ICS Courier. If you need it sooner, Purolator Express and UPS Express are priced at checkout.

Why didn't my order get free shipping?

Free shipping applies to orders of $200 or more delivered within Canada. Oversized and clearance items always ship at a calculated rate, and orders going outside Canada pay the carrier's rate at checkout.

Can I pick up my order instead?

Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and collect it from 155 McIntosh Drive, Unit 6, Markham. Orders are usually ready within 24 hours. Call 647-439-4485 or email sales@lockdownsecurity.ca to arrange a time, and bring your order number.

Can you ship to a PO box?

Contact us before you order if your address is a PO box. Our standard courier delivers to street addresses, so we'll arrange a carrier that can reach you.

Do I pay duties on an order shipped outside Canada?

For US orders, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid with your order. See what US tariffs apply right now. Everywhere else, import duties, taxes and customs fees are billed by the carrier on delivery and aren't included in what you pay us.

Why are US duties so high on some products?

US duties depend on where a product was made. Since August 22, 2026, many Canadian-made electronics, such as Fortin remote start modules, carry an extra 50% US duty, even when they qualify under CUSMA. Most goods from other countries carry an added 10% to 12.5%, with more on some Chinese-made products. There's also no longer a duty-free allowance for small orders. Checkout shows the exact amount before you pay.

My parcel arrived damaged. What should I do?

Keep the box and packing material, take photos of the damage, and contact us with your order number before sending anything back.

Can I change my delivery address after ordering?

Call or email us as soon as possible. We can change the address until the parcel leaves our shop.
