In the Greater Toronto Area you don't need a referral. Book us at our Markham shop, or we'll come to your home or work. Our installation labour carries a lifetime warranty.

Buying the hardware from us?

Order online and it ships anywhere in Canada: free on orders over $200, otherwise a flat $10. Once we've introduced you, you can ship it straight to the shop. Shops in our network have agreed to install hardware bought from Lockdown at their normal rate.

The product's warranty stays with us; the shop covers its own installation work. US orders may be charged duties at checkout.

Common questions

Does it cost anything?

No. We don't charge you for the referral. You pay the shop for the installation, at the price they quote you before starting.

Who are your partner installers?

Independent shops and mobile installers across Canada and the USA. Before a shop joins, we read their reviews, talk to them and confirm they're insured. After every job we ask the customer how it went, and shops with poor feedback are paused.

Why don't you list the shops?

Because we match you to the shop that suits your vehicle and the work, and we follow up afterwards. That's how we can stand behind the introduction. You get the shop's name, phone number and address in your introduction email.

How quickly will I hear back?

Usually within 1 business day. The shop then contacts you to book.

Is the work covered by your lifetime installation warranty?

No. Our lifetime installation warranty covers installs we do ourselves, at our Markham shop or on-site in the GTA. Partner shops are independent businesses and cover their own work, so ask about their warranty when they quote. Hardware bought from us keeps its manufacturer's warranty through us.

I bought my hardware from you. Will the shop install it?

Shops in our network have agreed to install hardware bought from Lockdown at their normal rate, or to tell us if they can't take the job. Choose Bought from Lockdown on the form and add your order number.

Can you ship the hardware straight to the shop?

Yes. Once we've introduced you, order online and use the shop's address for shipping. Shipping in Canada is free on orders over $200 and a flat $10 below that. US orders may be charged duties at checkout.

What if there's no partner near me?

We'll tell you, rather than send you somewhere we haven't checked, and we'll keep your request in case a shop near you joins.

Do you cover the USA?

Yes. Send a request from anywhere in Canada or the USA. Coverage is thinner in some areas while the network grows.

What can I get installed?

Remote starters, car alarms and anti-theft systems, dash cameras, car stereos and audio, CarPlay and Android Auto, backup cameras and parking sensors, power liftgates, lighting, and GPS tracking for fleets.

What if the shop near me only does some of what I need?

Some partners specialize, for example in dash cameras only. We only send you to a shop for work it does. If no single shop near you does everything, we'll introduce you to a specialist for each part, or tell you honestly what we can't cover.
