Common questions

Will a camera work with my factory screen?

Usually, yes. If your vehicle has a screen but no camera, an interface made for your make, model and year adds a camera input, and the picture comes up by itself in reverse. Some screens need more than others, so send us your vehicle and we'll tell you what works and what it costs installed. See the factory screen interfaces.

Do I need a screen too?

Yes, the camera needs somewhere to show the picture. You have four choices: the factory screen you already have, a screen in your rear view mirror, a small screen on the dash, or a new touchscreen radio. Every system in our top 3 comes with its screen.

Wired or wireless?

We install wired cameras. A cable gives a steady picture with no interference or dropouts, and once it's hidden behind the trim you'll never see it. Wireless cameras save the cable run, but the picture can flicker or freeze, which is exactly when you don't want it to.

How long does the installation take?

About two hours for the camera. Adding a mirror or dash screen takes about 45 minutes more, and a new touchscreen radio with a camera is about four hours in total. It's done the same day, by appointment, so your vehicle goes straight onto a bay.

Can you install it at my home or work?

Yes, anywhere in the GTA. Book a time at our Markham shop, or at your home or work, on our booking page. Fleets can book us at the yard.

I bought a camera somewhere else. Can you install it?

Contact us before you book. Whether we can install equipment you bought elsewhere depends on the product and your vehicle, so we decide case by case.
