- Testing every function, and a walkthrough before you leave
Where the three hours go
Almost every vehicle built in the last twenty years has a factory immobilizer, so the remote starter needs a bypass interface set up for your vehicle before it can start the engine. On top of that come the connections to ignition, starter, locks and lights, all made properly and hidden behind trim.
Then everything is tested, including making sure the vehicle can't be driven away while it's running on remote start without the key.
Add-ons
Have your factory heated seats come on with the remote start with HEATSEAT-Install, or the rear defroster with RDF-Install. Some vehicles, mainly European, need an immobilizer key left in the vehicle, which is KEYWRAP-Install. Your remote starter's product page will tell you if yours does.
Which install do I need?

Bringing your own system?
Contact us before you book. Whether we can fit a system you bought elsewhere depends on the system and your vehicle, so we decide case by case. We can't diagnose faults in hardware we didn't supply without a separate troubleshooting charge.

One thing worth knowing
Every vehicle is different. Depending on make, model and year, some installations need additional parts — relays, diodes, resistors or a vehicle-specific interface — which are charged separately if required. We'll always tell you before doing the work, not after.
