Find yours by FCC ID, not the model number. Viper model numbers are genuinely misleading — the 7147V and 7147VS share one FCC ID and pair to different systems, while the 7147VSEC uses a completely different one. The FCC ID is printed on the back of your old fob and it's the only thing that reliably identifies it.

Check the frequency too. Viper remotes run on 433MHz, 900MHz SST or 900MHz LoRa depending on the system, and they don't interoperate. Each product page states which.
