The unglamorous part of a clean install. Every loom behind a dash needs securing, and the difference between a tidy job and a rattling one is usually a handful of ties in the right places.

Why the automotive grade matters

Hardware store ties go brittle. A car interior swings from minus thirty to plus sixty, and cheap nylon eventually cracks and drops the loom onto your pedals or into a moving part. Ties made for vehicles hold their flexibility through that range.

Choosing a size

Short ties for small bundles behind panels, longer ones for main looms and for anchoring to existing brackets. Buy a range if you install regularly, because reaching for one that's an inch too short is a reliable source of frustration under a dash at five o'clock.
