Hardwired control modules, no vehicle harness

A universal remote starter is the control module on its own, without a vehicle-specific T-harness. It's what we reach for when no plug-and-play harness exists for a vehicle, and what most professional installers prefer to work with. The module wires directly into the vehicle, so the installer decides how every connection is made.

What else you'll need

These are modules, not complete kits. On most vehicles you'll also need an immobilizer bypass path and a key fob kit, unless the vehicle supports 3xLock start from the factory fob. Several of these modules use a two-stage programming process to finish the install: DECRYPTOR needs a Fortin FLASHLINK, KLON needs an iDatalink ADS-USB. Neither tool is included. If you don't have one, the install needs a shop.
