This is the labour to install a front camera, to see what's directly in front of your bumper when parking or manoeuvring.

What it costs and how long it takes

What's included

• Mounting the camera at the front of the vehicle
• Running the cable from the front into the cabin, hidden
• Connecting power and the video signal
• Testing the camera and its angle before you leave

Where the time goes

The cable has to get from the grille or bumper, through the engine bay and into the cabin, sealed where it passes through and kept clear of anything hot or moving, then routed to your screen.

What you need

The camera needs a screen to show on: a multimedia receiver, a rear view mirror monitor or a dash mounted screen. The camera and screen are sold separately.

Which install do I need?

A camera at the rear is RCAM-Install, and left and right side cameras are SIDECAM-Install. Browse driver safety products.

Bringing your own equipment?

Contact us before you book. Whether we can fit equipment you bought elsewhere depends on the product and your vehicle, so we decide case by case. We can't diagnose faults in hardware we didn't supply without a separate troubleshooting charge.

One thing worth knowing

Every vehicle is different. Depending on make, model and year, some installations need additional parts — relays, diodes, resistors, brackets or a vehicle-specific interface — which are charged separately if required. We'll always tell you before doing the work, not after.
