This is the labour to install a multimedia receiver and a back up camera together, in one visit.

What it costs and how long it takes

• Flat rate for the labour
• Four hours for most vehicles
• Same day — by appointment, so your vehicle goes straight onto a bay
• Backed by our lifetime installation warranty

What's included

• Removing your existing radio
• Mounting the new unit with the dash kit and trim your vehicle needs
• Connecting the wiring harness
• Hiding every cable
• Mounting the back up camera at the rear of the vehicle
• Running the camera cable from the rear to the dash, hidden, and connecting it to the receiver
• Testing the receiver and the camera, and a walkthrough before you leave

Why do both at once

The camera cable ends at the back of the receiver, and the dash is already apart for the receiver install, so doing both in one visit saves taking the dash apart twice.

Installation parts

Most vehicles need parts to fit an aftermarket stereo: a dash kit, a wiring harness, often an antenna adapter, and a steering wheel control interface if you want to keep those buttons. They're sold separately. Find the parts for your vehicle in Car Stereo Installation Parts.

Which install do I need?

The receiver on its own is VHU-Install. A back up camera on its own is RCAM-Install. Browse back up cameras.

Bringing your own equipment?

Contact us before you book. Whether we can fit equipment you bought elsewhere depends on the product and your vehicle, so we decide case by case. We can't diagnose faults in hardware we didn't supply without a separate troubleshooting charge.

Booking

Add this to your order and we'll contact you after checkout to arrange a time. You don't need to call ahead. If you'd rather book first, use our booking page to request a time at our Markham shop or at your home or work in the GTA.

One thing worth knowing

Every vehicle is different. Depending on make, model and year, some installations need additional parts — relays, diodes, resistors or a vehicle-specific interface — which are charged separately if required. We'll always tell you before doing the work, not after.
