DECRYPTOR is a two-stage programming process, and it exists for a good reason:
it means you don't have to sacrifice one of your keys. On a modern
vehicle a spare key can cost several hundred dollars, so this saves real money.
Completing it requires a Fortin FLASHLINK programming tool, which is not
included. There is no alternative method. The
FLASHLINK Mobile flashes over Bluetooth from your phone instead of a Windows PC.
Buying from us? This usually isn't a problem. We pre-program modules
before they ship on most vehicles, so it arrives ready to install. Just tell us your
year, make and model at checkout.
One of your working keys must be permanently mounted inside the vehicle, where it
satisfies the factory immobilizer during a remote start. That key is
given up for the life of the installation, so if you only have two keys,
budget for cutting a spare before you book.
