This is the labour to install blind spot sensors, which warn you when there's a vehicle in your blind spot as you change lanes.

What's included

• Mounting the sensors at the rear of the vehicle and setting their angles
• Mounting the warning indicators where you'll see them
• Running and hiding all of the wiring
• Setting up the alerts and testing that they trigger properly

Where the time goes

Placement is everything. A sensor that's mounted or angled wrongly either misses vehicles or warns all the time, and a system that cries wolf gets ignored. Most of the time goes into placing the sensors correctly, running wiring the length of the vehicle to the indicators, and testing.

Which install do I need?

Parking sensors, for low-speed manoeuvring, are PRK4-Install for one bumper or PRK8-Install for both. Side cameras are SIDECAM-Install. Browse blind spot detection kits.

Bringing your own equipment?

Contact us before you book. Whether we can fit equipment you bought elsewhere depends on the product and your vehicle, so we decide case by case. We can't diagnose faults in hardware we didn't supply without a separate troubleshooting charge.

One thing worth knowing

Every vehicle is different. Depending on make, model and year, some installations need additional parts — relays, diodes, resistors, brackets or a vehicle-specific interface — which are charged separately if required. We'll always tell you before doing the work, not after.
