Two-way means the fob talks back, confirming the car actually started rather than leaving you pressing a button at a window and hoping.

Check it's the right one

The FCC ID is printed on the back of your old fob. If it reads EZS7858VHD, this is your remote.

900MHz LoRa

This fob runs on 900MHz LoRa, the long-range radio platform Viper use on their furthest-reaching systems. It will not pair to a 433MHz or SST system, and those remotes will not pair to yours — check the FCC ID before ordering.

It pairs to the same D9957VHD system as the 7957VHD colour LCD remote, so the two can be used together: the LCD as your main remote, this one as the spare.

Before you buy a new fob

Charge your old one fully first. This remote has a built-in rechargeable battery rather than a coin cell, so there's nothing to swap — but a remote that's simply flat behaves exactly like a dead one. Leave it on charge for a few hours before deciding it's failed.

Programming

This fob needs pairing to your system before it will work. Most people manage it themselves, and if you'd rather not, bring the vehicle to our Markham shop and we'll do it.
