Check it's the right one

The FCC ID is printed on the back of your old fob or inside the battery compartment. If it reads EZS7147V, this is your remote.

Note: the 7147VS shares its FCC ID with the 7147V, but they pair to different systems. Check your system model as well as the FCC ID — the 7147VS is for the 3308V and 5308V, the 7147V is for the 2103V, 4109V, 5108V and D9147V.

Before you buy a new fob

Try a fresh battery in your old one first. A flat battery and a dead fob behave identically, and a CR2032 costs a fraction of this. It's worth ten seconds before spending.

Programming

This fob needs pairing to your system before it will work. Most people manage it themselves, and if you'd rather not, bring the vehicle to our Markham shop and we'll do it.
