This is the PTR-35 heavy duty trunk release solenoid.

A 12 volt electro-magnetic solenoid with a 35 lb pull force, considerably stronger than a standard trunk release solenoid. That extra strength matters on heavy trunk lids, on latches that have stiffened with age, and on shaved door handle builds where the solenoid is doing the whole job of opening the door.

It connects to any security or remote start system with a trunk release or auxiliary output.

You will need a relay. A solenoid draws far more current than a remote starter's auxiliary output can supply directly. Wire it through a relay, or you risk damaging the module. See our relays and relay harnesses.
