This is the Directed 522T trunk release solenoid.

A 12 volt electro-magnetic solenoid that converts a manual trunk release into a powered one, operated from your remote or from a button inside the car.

Everything needed is in the box: mounting hardware, and a bracket with a push button you can fit in the cabin. It connects to any security or remote start system with a trunk release or auxiliary output.

Solid steel construction and a heavy duty pull capacity mean it will handle almost any trunk lid and keep doing it for years.

You will need a relay. A solenoid draws far more current than a remote starter's auxiliary output can supply directly. Wire it through a relay, or you risk damaging the module. See our relays and relay harnesses.
