This is the labour to remove an aftermarket anti-theft immobilizer and all of its wiring, putting your vehicle's circuits back the way the factory built them.
What it costs and how long it takes
-
Flat rate for the labour
-
Two hours for most vehicles
-
Same day — by appointment, so your vehicle goes straight onto a bay
What's included
- Removing the immobilizer module
- Removing all of its wiring and restoring every circuit it was connected to
- Testing that the vehicle starts and runs normally before you leave
Why it takes two hours
Immobilizers are installed to be hard to find. Taking one out properly means tracing every connection it made, some of them deliberately disguised, and restoring each circuit rather than just cutting the module out. A rushed removal leaves a vehicle that won't start, or one with faults that show up weeks later.
Removing a GHOST?
We're no longer an Autowatch dealer, so we can't install or reinstall GHOST-II systems, but we can remove them. If you're keeping yours, we can also supply and program replacement key tags.
Replacing it?
Book this removal along with IMMO-Install for the new system.
Booking
Add this to your order and we'll contact you after checkout to arrange a time. You don't need to call ahead. If you'd rather book first, use our booking page to request a time at our Markham shop or at your home or work in the GTA.
One thing worth knowing
Every vehicle is different, and an install done by someone else can take longer to undo. If yours needs more than this rate covers, we'll tell you before doing the work, not after.
