This is the labour to install a two-channel amplifier, to power a pair of speakers.

What's included

• Running and connecting all power and signal cables
• Mounting the amplifier
• Connecting the speaker wiring for both channels
• Hiding every cable
• Setting up and testing every channel before you leave

Not included

Any boards or plates needed to mount the amplifier aren't part of this rate.

Where the time goes

Most of it is wiring: a power cable from the battery through the firewall, fused properly, signal cables run separately so they don't pick up noise, and speaker wiring to each channel. More channels means more speaker runs, which is why each step up in channels takes longer.

Which install do I need?

A subwoofer only is AMP1-Install. A pair of speakers is AMP2-Install. Four speakers is AMP4-Install. Four speakers plus a subwoofer from one amplifier is AMP5-Install. Browse amplifiers.

Bringing your own equipment?

Contact us before you book. Whether we can fit equipment you bought elsewhere depends on the product and your vehicle, so we decide case by case. We can't diagnose faults in hardware we didn't supply without a separate troubleshooting charge.

One thing worth knowing

Every vehicle is different. Depending on make, model and year, some installations need additional parts — relays, diodes, resistors or a vehicle-specific interface — which are charged separately if required. We'll always tell you before doing the work, not after.
