What you give up

No image stabilisation, which the Thinkware M1-SPORTS has, and 1080p front rather than the Vantrue F1's 4K. For street riding and touring on reasonable surfaces that's rarely a problem. For trail or track use, the stabilisation is worth the extra.

Fitting

We fit motorcycle cameras at our Markham shop for $300, which covers mounting both cameras, hiding all cabling, wiring to a switched power source and setting the system up. Bikes need more care than cars — everything has to survive vibration and weather, and the wiring has to stay clear of the steering head.

Some machines need extra parts such as relays or resistors; we'll tell you before we start if yours does.
