This is an add-on for the Viofo BP100. It is not a dash cam battery on its own and will not power a camera by itself. If you don't already own a BP100, you need that pack first — this one plugs into it.

What it does

The EP100 adds a second 7650mAh LiFePO4 cell pack to your existing BP100, roughly doubling how long your camera keeps recording while parked.

• BP100 on its own: about 58 hours single-channel, 31 hours front-and-rear
• BP100 with one EP100: about 115 hours single-channel, 61 hours front-and-rear

Those figures use the same basis we apply to every battery we sell — 1.7W for a single camera, 3.2W for front-and-rear — so you can compare them directly against anything else in our range.

A BP100 supports up to two EP100 packs if you need more again.

The trade-off worth knowing

Twice the capacity means twice the charging time. Where a BP100 alone refills in roughly 70 minutes of driving on a fuse-box connection, the pair takes around twice that. If your daily drive is short, adding capacity you can't recharge won't help you — a pack that never reaches full is worse than a smaller one that does. Ask us if you're unsure.
