Parking mode without touching the battery that starts your car. The BP100 charges while you drive and powers your dash cam while you're parked, and it's the only pack we carry that you can extend later with a second battery.

What you actually get

Viofo rates the BP100 at 32 hours on a 3W draw. Measured on the basis we use across our whole range — 1.7W for a single camera, 3.2W for front-and-rear — that works out to roughly 58 hours single-channel or 31 hours front-and-rear. Add a Viofo EP100 expansion pack and you roughly double it.

Every brand quotes runtime at a draw of its own choosing, which is why the numbers on competing boxes can't be compared directly. We normalise ours so they can be.

Why LiFePO4 matters here

Lithium iron phosphate handles the daily discharge-and-recharge cycle far better than standard lithium-ion — Viofo rates the BP100 at 1,500 cycles before it drops to 80% of original capacity — and it tolerates a hot parking lot better. Its operating range of -20°C to 70°C is the widest of any pack we stock.

Two ways to power it, and it works on trucks

The BP100 takes either a cigarette-lighter plug or a fuse-box hardwire connection, and it handles 12V passenger vehicles and 24V commercial systems alike. Pass-through charging means the vehicle powers the camera and tops up the pack at the same time while you drive. A Type-C port lets you charge a phone off it too.

Worth knowing before you buy

At 171 x 171 mm the BP100 has a larger footprint than our compact LDS packs, so mounting location matters more — it needs a flat space rather than a narrow gap. If you're expanding later or running a 24V commercial vehicle, it's the right choice. If space is tight, ask us.
