The DRONE XC2 is a 2K dash camera with its own 4G LTE connection, so you can watch your vehicle live, get security alerts with video, and track it on a map from anywhere — all in the DroneMobile app. It's also the only dash camera that connects directly to an aftermarket remote starter or alarm, putting your camera, remote start and security in one app.
Three cameras, one unit
For the first time, the XC2 accepts up to three cameras: the built-in 2K front camera, plus two more inputs for a rear and an interior camera. Add the DRONE XC-RC1 rear camera and the DRONE XC-IR2 infrared interior camera to cover the road behind and the cabin at night.
Evidence in the cloud, automatically
When the XC2 detects a sudden impact, harsh braking or hard acceleration while you drive — or an intrusion while you're parked — it uploads the footage to the cloud on its own. You don't have to reach the car, or even know it happened, for the evidence to be safe.
Previews in seconds, not megabytes
Every event also gets a compressed video preview, so you can see what happened almost immediately without burning through data. DroneMobile rates it at up to 200 three-channel previews per 1GB of streaming data. When a preview shows something that matters, download the full-resolution file.
Plug-and-play OBD-II harness included
The XC2 comes with DroneMobile's premium OBD-II plug-and-play cable, which powers the camera and connects to the vehicle's CAN-bus network out of the box. It can run as a standalone dash cam, or be wired data-to-data to a Firstech remote starter or alarm for full vehicle control.

The DroneMobile Dash Cam plan
The camera records to its SD card and streams over local Wi-Fi without a subscription. LTE live view, automatic cloud upload and remote vehicle control need DroneMobile's Dash Cam plan, which includes 1GB of streaming data, 25GB of cloud storage with up to 60 days of history, GPS tracking and security alerts. A free 30-day trial is included.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a subscription?
Not to record. The XC2 records to its memory card and streams over Wi-Fi without one. You need the Dash Cam plan for anything over LTE: live view away from the car, automatic cloud upload, GPS tracking and remote control.
Does the XC2 replace the XC-LTE?
Yes. The XC2 replaces the XC-LTE in our range, adding a third camera input, automatic upload of driving events, fast compressed previews and an OBD-II plug-and-play harness. If you're upgrading from an XC-LTE, your XC-RC1 rear camera and XC-IR1 interior camera carry over — and the newer XC-IR2 interior camera fits both models.
Can it drain my battery?
It draws 7mA in standby, and Power Saving Mode switches off GPS and Wi-Fi when your battery drops to the level you set.
