This is the Directed Electronics 556UXL Universal Key Bypass Module.

A universal transponder bypass that works by holding a real key inside the module, mounted out of sight under the dash. When the remote starter cranks the engine, the vehicle reads the chip in that key and allows it to run.

A key is required and stays inside the module permanently. That means giving up one of your keys for the life of the install, so budget for cutting a spare if you only have two. It's the trade-off for a bypass that works on almost anything without vehicle-specific programming.

Where a data bypass is available for your vehicle it's usually the better choice, since you keep all your keys and nothing sits under the dash for a thief to find. Browse data bypass modules or search your vehicle to see what we'd fit.
