There's no extra labour charge for adding a Fortin remote kit or the EVO-START LTE during a remote starter install.

We program the module before it ships, so most vehicles need no programming tool. A kit is the Fortin module with the T-harness for your vehicle in the box. The T-harness plugs into the vehicle's own connectors, so there's far less wiring than a hardwired install, though a few connections usually still need making. The vehicle list shows the install difficulty for each vehicle.
On many vehicles, yes: press lock three times and it starts. Not every vehicle responds to that, and the vehicle list shows which ones do. Where it doesn't, add a Fortin remote kit or the EVO-START LTE.
Only if you install it yourself on a vehicle marked DECRYPTOR in the vehicle list. We program the module for your vehicle before it ships, so every other vehicle needs no programming tool. On a DECRYPTOR vehicle the last programming step is done at the vehicle, with a Fortin FLASHLINK Updater and a Windows PC, or a FLASHLINK Mobile and your phone. If we install it, we take care of it.

Some vehicles need extra steps. DECRYPTOR is a two-stage programming process that saves you giving up a key: we do the first stage before it ships, and the second is done at the vehicle with a Fortin FLASHLINK. A key sacrifice means one of your keys stays hidden in the vehicle for good. The vehicle list shows when either applies, and our remote starter terms explain both.
