This is the labour to fit a three-camera dash cam system with all three cameras mounted inside the vehicle — one facing the road ahead, one facing the cabin, and one facing out through the rear glass.

What's included

• Mounting all three cameras — front, cabin-facing and rear
• Running the rear cable up the A-pillar, along the headliner and through the tailgate boot, so nothing is visible
• Hardwiring to a fused source or power management device, with parking mode configured
• Setting time, date and GPS, aligning every angle, and confirming all three channels record before you leave
• A walkthrough of the app and how to pull footage off the card

Why three cameras take longer than two

The front and cabin cameras usually share one body, so the extra time isn't in mounting — it's in the rear run and in getting the cabin angle right. A cabin camera aimed badly captures the roof lining or the back of a headrest instead of the people in the vehicle, which defeats the purpose. On rideshare installs we set it to cover both front seats and as much of the rear bench as the lens allows.

Which install do I need?

This rate covers three cameras mounted inside the vehicle. If your rear camera mounts on the outside — on the tailgate, bumper or roofline — it needs weather sealing and a longer run, and that's our DCAM3EXT-Install. Two exterior cameras is DCAM3EXT2-Install. Not sure which applies? Tell us the model and we'll confirm before you book.

Bringing your own system?

Please contact us before you book. Send us the make and model, and we'll confirm whether we can install it and what it will cost. We can't diagnose faults in hardware we didn't supply without a separate troubleshooting charge.

One thing worth knowing

Every vehicle is different. Depending on make, model and year, some installations need additional parts — relays, diodes, resistors or a vehicle-specific harness — which are charged separately if required. We'll always tell you before doing the work, not after.
