The ZZ-2 ZZAIR-CP turns wired Apple CarPlay, in your car or aftermarket radio, into wireless CarPlay, for iPhone. Plug it into the USB port you use for CarPlay, pair your iPhone once, and it usually connects on its own when you get in.
Newer model available: ZZ-2 has replaced the ZZAIR-CP with the ZZAIR-DUO2, which costs less, also does wireless Android Auto if your car has wired Android Auto, and works with Sony radios. We recommend the DUO2 unless you need this exact model.
Check your car first
Start the car and plug your iPhone in with its cable. If Apple CarPlay opens on the screen, your car meets the main requirement. This adapter doesn't do Android Auto and doesn't work with aftermarket Sony radios. Not sure? Take the 10-second plug test.
