This is Tesa 50530 paint protection tape.

Temporary protection for painted bodywork while you work on a vehicle. Belt buckles, tools and door edges all leave marks on paint, and a scratch on a customer's wing costs considerably more to fix than a roll of tape.

Removes cleanly with no residue on the painted surface, which is the whole point. Ordinary masking tape leaves adhesive behind and can lift clear coat.
