Factory radio guide

Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC & Buick factory radios: which one do you have?

GM used several touchscreen radios between 2008 and 2018, and each CarPlay and Android Auto kit fits only certain ones. The quickest checks are your model year, your screen size and the radio code on the parts sticker in your glovebox. Many 2016-2018 models already have CarPlay, so plug your phone in first.

  1. 2013

    Cadillac CUE (2013)

Cadillac User Experience (CUE), first version on the HMI 1.0 or 1.1 module

    No plug-in kit

    How to tell

    • An 8-inch touchscreen above a glossy black panel with touch-sensitive icons and a volume strip you slide your finger along, instead of normal buttons.
    • The screen pulses under your finger and shows more icons as your hand gets close.
    • Model year 2013: the 10th character of your VIN is D.

    Quick check on the screen

Check the 10th character of your VIN (on the windshield corner, the driver's door jamb or your ownership). D means 2013.

    • Cadillac ATS 2013
    • Cadillac XTS 2013
    • Cadillac SRX 2013

    Don't confuse it with

2014-2018 CUE looks the same but runs on newer hardware that our kit does fit.

CarPlay and Android Auto for this radio

No plug-in kit fits the 2013 CUE system, and the ZZ-2 ITZ-MYLINK only works with the 2014-2018 CUE hardware. Call us if you'd like to talk through your options.

  2. 2014-2018

    Cadillac CUE (2014-2018)

Cadillac User Experience (CUE) on the HMI 2.0 or 2.5 module

    CarPlay kit available

    How to tell

    • The same CUE look as 2013: an 8-inch touchscreen over a touch-sensitive panel with a volume slider.
    • Model year 2014-2018: the 10th character of your VIN is E, F, G, H or J.
    • Most 2016-2018 cars show Apple CarPlay and Android Auto when you plug your phone in by USB.

    Quick check on the screen

    Check the 10th character of your VIN (on the windshield corner, the driver's door jamb or your ownership): E = 2014, F = 2015, G = 2016, H = 2017, J = 2018.

    • Cadillac XTS 2014-2018
    • Cadillac SRX 2014-2016
    • Cadillac Escalade 2015-2018

    Don't confuse it with

2013 CUE, which looks the same but no kit fits, and the older pop-up navigation screen in the 2008-2015 CTS and 2010-2012 SRX.

CarPlay and Android Auto for this radio

The ZZ-2 ITZ-MYLINK fits CUE on the 2014-2018 HMI 2.0 and 2.5 hardware. Check first: Cadillac added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to CUE for 2016, so on a 2016-2018 car the kit mainly adds wireless use and camera inputs.

  3. 2008-2015

    Cadillac pop-up navigation

Cadillac navigation radio with a screen that rises from the dash, before CUE

    CarPlay kit available

    How to tell

    • The navigation screen rises out of the top of the dash when you start the car.
    • Normal push buttons and knobs on the radio below, not a touch-sensitive CUE panel.

    Found in

    • Cadillac CTS and CTS-V 2008-2015 (older body)
    • Cadillac SRX 2010-2012

    Don't confuse it with

Cadillac CUE, which has a fixed screen over a touch-sensitive panel.

CarPlay and Android Auto for this radio

The GROM GM1CVL2 fits the 2008-2015 CTS and CTS-V, and the GROM GM1SVL2 fits the 2010-2012 SRX. Factory satellite radio stops working once the kit is in, so call us with your VIN to confirm before you order.

Still not sure which radio you have?

Text us a photo of your screen and the buttons around it, or send your VIN, and we'll tell you which kit fits.
