See the kit

A 1 TB solid state drive for the LDS DV456 4-channel and DV454 8-channel recorders. The recorders don't come with storage, and the SSD is where they keep your footage.

How much it holds

The DV456 and DV454 record at up to 4 Mbps per camera, about 1.8 GB an hour. At that highest setting, 1 TB holds about 500 hours from one camera, or about 125 hours from four.

Why an SSD instead of a memory card

  • A recorder in a truck writes video every time the engine runs. An SSD is built for that kind of nonstop writing; memory cards wear out faster and can fail without warning.
  • More room: the recorders' SD slot takes up to 512 GB, the SSD bay up to 2 TB.

Good to know

  • Fits the LDS DV456 and DV454 recorders.
  • Ships in the drive maker's own packaging and branding.
  • Buying our BC truck dash camera kit? We fit the SSD in the recorder, format it and test-record before the kit ships.
