Expert Verdict (2026) - Why Buy?

The iDatastart HC1151G is arguably the best-performing 'bang-for-your-buck' long-range starter kit available for the Canadian climate. At Lockdown Security, we frequently point value-conscious drivers to this system because it delivers high-tier reach without forcing you to pay premium 2-way pricing upfront. Built on the advanced CMHCXG0 control module, it is natively CAN-FD digital auto network ready—allowing it to talk seamlessly with complex engine computers found in the newest vehicles. Equipped with two sleek 5-button remotes that punch out a massive 3,000-foot range, it completely transforms cold morning commutes. Best of all, it features a universal antenna hub, meaning you can instantly upgrade it to a full 2-way system later down the road just by adding a replacement fob.

This is the iDatastart HC1151G 1-Way Remote Starter.

It includes the iDatastart CMHCXG0 remote start control module, that has support for high speed CAN-BUS networks (CAN-FD), that many 2023 and up vehicles are coming equipped with.

THE CMHCXG0 ADVANTAGE
• Unrivalled Compatibility: One module for countless vehicle makes and models.
• Advanced Microcontrollers: Engineered for advanced systems, ready for CAN-FD vehicles.
• Future-Proof Design: Features an expansion dock for seamless upgrades as technologies evolve.
• Full Alarm Capabilities: Offers dedicated outputs for robust security add-ons including sirens,
sensors, and security LEDs.

Testimonials

  • Exceptionally Helpful

They were exceptionally helpful despite me going down the DIY route having never installed a remote starter before. There was no T harness kit available for my vehicle which led to a few questions which they thankfully were very helpful with. Mission remote start was successful and I'm super pleased.

  • Responsive, Easy to Use

Have been using Lockdown Security for years. Just ordered the fifth remote starter from them and installed myself. Their website is easy to use and intuitive. They are responsive and more than willing to answer questions for the DIY customers. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking to purchase a remote starter.
