This is the iDatastart CK-2020G-HCX, the entry two-way kit in iDatastart's new CARKIT line.
It runs the new CA2HC controller, which is the part worth paying attention to: the LoRa and Bluetooth antennas are built into the module itself. There is no windshield antenna. Nothing stuck to your glass, nothing in your sightline, and one less thing to run wire to.
What's in the kit

Two 5-button 2-way remotes (R220 and R220G) — one black, one grey. Start/stop, lock, unlock, trunk, and a function button, with a multi-colour LED that confirms what the car actually did.

Up to half a mile of range on LoRa, which holds up through buildings far better than the old FM remotes did.

Bluetooth smartphone control through the iDataGO app, with a digital dashboard showing vehicle data.

CA2HC control module with integrated LoRa/BLE antenna, plus the ADS-AHR-HCX installation harness.
- Remotes take a CR2450 cell, with a battery isolation tab for shelf life and tool-free changes. Spares are in our key fob batteries collection.
- Remotes ship in a gift box, which matters more than it sounds if this is going under a tree.
Be clear about the Bluetooth
Bluetooth control works within Bluetooth range — roughly across a parking lot, not across town. It's genuinely useful for walking up to the car and for the dashboard data, but it is not a cellular service. If you want to start your car from anywhere with phone coverage, you want a cellular add-on like DroneMobile, sold separately. We'd rather tell you that now than have you find out in January.
Starter, not alarm
This kit is remote start and keyless control. If you want vehicle security built into the same system — shock sensing, siren, alerts pushed to the remote — step up to the CK-2525G-HCX.
Fitting it
This is a hardwired install and the analog harness is included. Many vehicles can also take a vehicle-specific T-harness to reduce splicing; tell us your year, make and model and we'll confirm. We install at our Markham shop or on-site in the GTA with a lifetime installation warranty — book an install — or we flash the module for your vehicle and ship it anywhere in Canada.
