Where the time goes
Most of it is in the dash: taking the factory radio out without breaking clips, fitting the dash kit so it looks factory, and wiring the harness so your steering wheel controls and other factory features keep working, where the installation parts allow.
Installation parts
Most vehicles need parts to fit an aftermarket stereo: a dash kit, a wiring harness, often an antenna adapter, and a steering wheel control interface if you want to keep those buttons. They're sold separately. Find the parts for your vehicle in Car Stereo Installation Parts.
Which install do I need?
A touchscreen multimedia receiver is VHU-Install. Browse car stereos.
Bringing your own equipment?
Contact us before you book. Whether we can fit equipment you bought elsewhere depends on the product and your vehicle, so we decide case by case. We can't diagnose faults in hardware we didn't supply without a separate troubleshooting charge.
Booking
Add this to your order and we'll contact you after checkout to arrange a time. You don't need to call ahead. If you'd rather book first, use our booking page to request a time at our Markham shop or at your home or work in the GTA.
One thing worth knowing
Every vehicle is different. Depending on make, model and year, some installations need additional parts — relays, diodes, resistors or a vehicle-specific interface — which are charged separately if required. We'll always tell you before doing the work, not after.
