Audi Factory Radios - Which one do you have?

For Audi & Lamborghini vehicles, it can be very important to determine which factory radio your specific vehicle uses, when looking to add an Apple CarPlay & Android Auto interface module. 

There are multiple types of Audi factory radios, which are:

RMC
MIB2 5.8" and 7"
MIB2 8.3" 
MMI3G 
Symphony & Concert


Please see the images below to help determine which factory radio your vehicle has:


Audi Radios

Audi & Lamborghini RMC Radio

RMC Radio

Note: For A6, S6, A7, S7 vehicles must verify that they equipped with the Audi RMC system (internal hard disc drive). Please follow the procedure below:

  1. Press "Setup" or "Menu" button on the radio
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Scroll down to "Version Information"
  4. Look for first letters and numbers of Software Version: (e.g. HNav_XX_XXXXX_XX) for any presence of 'RMC' anywhere in the text.

Audi MIB2 Radio

MIB2 Radio

  1. Press the [MENU] or [SETUP] button on the center console.
  2. Select Settings (sometimes found under the 'Car' or 'System' menu).
  3. Scroll to the bottom and select 'Version Information'

Audi & Lamborghini MMI3G Radio

MMI3G Radio

Press the [MENU] or [SETUP] button on the center console.

Select Settings (sometimes found under the 'Car' or 'System' menu).

Scroll to the bottom and select 'Version Information'

Audi Symphony & Concert Radio

Symphony & Concert Radios

You can determine that you have the Audi Symphony or Concert radio as it will be written on the top face of the factory radio.

Also, the knob that controls the radio will be located in the center of the radio.
