This is the Compustar FT-SHOCK-II dual stage shock sensor with built-in tilt detection.

The second generation Compustar sensor, and the tilt function is the reason to choose it over the original. A shock sensor detects impacts. It does not detect a car being quietly jacked up in a driveway, and that's how catalytic converters, wheels and whole vehicles disappear.

This one covers both.

What it detects

• Shock, dual stage — warning chirp on a light knock, full alarm on a real strike
• Tilt — the vehicle being jacked up, towed, or lifted onto a flatbed

If you park on a street where converters go missing, this is the upgrade that matters.
